TORONTO - After weeks of M.I.A., PistolasFC.com is breaking the news that the Pistolas FC Presidente himself, suffered a bout with the H1N1, rendering him ill and off work for some time.
"Back in late October, it hit me suddenly overnight, and just became this powering menace. It spread so quickly, and took on a life of its own. Fortunately, the case was a moderate one, and the different symptoms seemed to appear on different days, though a nasty cough and sore throat lingered for days. Towards the end, my body felt like it went into a shut down mode, and exhaustion set in. I was resigned to quarantine myself in the basement, wearing masks, and washing my hands after every cough/sneeze. I was worried most for others around me, and wanted to be vigilant in containing the virus," said El Presidente himself.
"However, even through all my precautions, as the virus died down in me, it eventually did spread to my family. There were trips to the hospital for the little one, but the tough cookie that she is, fought hard and has overcome it as well. It's been an extremely tiresome month for all of us, but I'm happy to report that all is slowly looking better."
"I still plan on taking some R&R time to recover from the exhaustion that remains, and thank Director Davidinho and the staff at PistolasFC.com for carrying on the daily vigours of the club. My deepest apologies to the other franchises - namely Los Angeles and Pasadena - whose articles have been sitting in backlog in my email account, and will be posted shortly."
"More announcements and articles are coming in due time, and a return to form for the website will resume within the next two months."
