TORONTO - Sometimes a little stint on loan to another club in the offseason does wonders in jolting a career. Think I'm talking about David Beckham? Think again; Posh wears the pants in that family and he'll be back in Los Angeles before you can say UEFA Cup.
I'm talking about PFC Striker turned Midfielder Eckelton Richards, who is currently on loan to Celtic FC of the indoor league. Last season Eckleton felt snakebitten, hitting posts and crossbars before tallying 3 important goals before seasons end. But he's still considered a dangerous striker by any means. And he's proving it at Celtic.
With a record of 6 Wins, 1 Loss and 7 Ties, Celtic FC rank 4th with 25 points. And its in the goalscoring department that they're lighting it up with 31 goals of which Eckleton has scored 9 goals or 29% of the teams goals.
This confidence boost and added skills development make him a viable striking option should the need arise.
His current loan contract ends in mid-April just in time for his return to the Pistolas FC BMO Training Camp.
Only one thing Eckleton, you really should hire some pros to put the lettering on your jersey, as it looks a tad fake.
