The Pistolas and the FC All Stars played to a 2-2 drawthis past Sunday matching their last match result against each other in a friendly in May.

The boys in black showed up 14 strong on what was a HOT Sunday afternoon.  Starting strong, the boys pressed on and on a beautiful cross, Arbi got a head to the ball and notched in the first goal of the evening (by the way, we've had some good crosses and headers throughout the season).

Later on, new recruit Eckleton Richards got a chance heading the ball off another glorious cross, that beat the keeper but was unluckily kept out by the post.

Still in the first half, the Pistolas scored another beautiful goal only to be denied and have the goal called back on an offiside by an aging 80 year old ref (with the darkest sunglasses in the world) who apparently took direction from the appeals of the other team.  Many late whistles would later ruin the game.

In the Second half, with the boys leading 1-0, the ball bounced into the Lions Den, our 18 yard box) and on a cross from our rivals, hit Eddy Megurian in the chest.  With no flag and no whistle the play went on until, and appeal by the other team to the linesman for a hand ball stopped the play.  A HUGE late call by the ref on a play that the linesman could not have humany possibly even seen given the fact that from my angle I could see Eddy and the Striker dead on and both their backs were covered and facing the side official.

The ref rules a penalty shot.  On the shot, Scorpinho tried the old trick and guessed right only to have the feel of the ball slide underneath his fingers into the corner. 1-1.

Like clockwork, Eddy Megurian took on the reins of the game and capped off an amazing run with a goal to put the team up 2-1.

As the pressure mounted, the team dropped back and defended well.  But a little slip up and the FC All Stars got their chance.

A shot from a striker just inside the box went bottom right, and though Scorpinho dove, he could again feel the ball just trickle underneath his glove.  2-2.

Only seconds later, the final whistle went, a crushing tie for the Pistolas but nothing to be ashamed about and by far THE BEST GAME WE'VE PLAYED ALL YEAR.
