MARKHAM - Could storied Canadian giant, Tim Hortons, commit to be the title sponsor on the jerseys of Pistolas FC in 2009? The answer right now is a very good possibility.
After reviewing the teams '2008 Corporate Partnership Package,' the sponsorship department was impressed and contacted PFC to inform the team that after reviewing their proposal, they would forward the proposal onto the Regional Marketing Team overseeing the Markham area. Soon after, the team received a call from the coffee experts informing them that they were over extended for this year, but were happy to consider the proposal for the 2009 season. PFC was also informed that they tend to start looking and committing to sponsorships between October to December. A daily favourite for most of the team, we look forward to having discussions with Tim Hortons later this year.
Markville Mall also reviewed our proposal and responded after careful deliberations. They wanted to commit to this year, but were already overextended for the 2008 season in sponsorship committments. However, due to the proximity of Centennial Park (home stadium to Pistolas FC), and the fact that they were impressed with the amount of work that's gone into our proposal, Markville Mall was also eager to engage in discussions for the 2009 season.
Markville Mall is no stranger to the Pistolas FC, as they each received gift certificates to the mall last year for winning the 2007 Centennial Cup Championship.
With the potential for both Tim Hortons and Markville Mall onboard for next year, the continued growth of the team looks promising.
